    The shade on this lamp is not the original. I am interested in opinions about what the original shade might have looked like in terms of shape (tall or short drum or possibly square), material (linen, burlap, paper, silk), style (plain, pleated)? Metal finish is antique brass.

      Hello! I have a similar lamp - actually a pair - and will soon be repairing/replacing (with like) the shades. I'm guessing they're probably a bit taller than yours (21"), and are somewhat conical, with a base of 14.25" and a top at 8.5" across. The material is like a stiff textured linen - almost burlap-like, but not quite. Since there are some stylistic differences between our lamps, I'm not sure if any of what I've said is helpful.
