Lady's head wall plaque

Hi all, this wall decoration was also amongst my Gran's things. She is surprisingly heavy. An online person suggested she may be of gypsum and made in France in the 50's. There are no helpful markings on her.Can anyone shed any light on her? Thanks. Have a beautiful week!
