    Hi there.
I hope someone can help me. I have just brought this vase and it was sold to me as Sterling Silver. Is this Sterling silver? if so where was it made? by whom? how would you clean the scratches from it?

    Thank you in advance.

      830 silver suggests Norway.

The teapot is the mark of Saethers Gull- og Solvvarefabrikk - Oslo.

vetraio50 identifid the maker in Norway.
Sterling is not a synonim for solid silver (as opposed to silver plated). It is just one of the standards (.925 or 92.5% of pure silver in the alloy). There are many lower standards, but also higher standards than sterling.

Thank you all. It does look like Norway silver. How would you clean the scratches of it? they are faint but all over. What period you think?
