    This bracelet was fashioned from scrap aluminum.

    Additionally, the maker added an early US collar device insignia to the front of it.

    It is typical of WW2 construction. I have seen similar watch bands and I have several engraved open back bracelets from this era. It was popular in the Pacific theater as most I have encountered seem to have been made for US Marines.

      I just added an additional photo that shows the latching for the bracelet.

      I have had this for about 4 years and didn't realize until yesterday that the aluminum clamp would slide and allow it to open.
