The large pendant is really a huge, old brooch from a special family friend--don't know date and no markings on back. It seemed appropriate to be worn on a high neckline blouse, which I never wear, so I fashioned a necklace out of it by making a length of green dyed pearls with a split ring jump ring at each end that can be looped through the brooch pin. To complement the piece, I made earrings (with marcasite headpins, the same pearls, and crystals to match the rhinestones in the brooch) and a bracelet with marcasite toggle. I love wearing it now and it has turned some heads!!

very stunning and clever you I make things out of brooches as well people should do this instead of not wearing their treasures and it is so nice to look at things that we have recreated......
