      Bitsnbobs123.a, This is a bit challenging. };-)

What it looks like is a picture with one of Van Gogh's paintings superimposed on a one of his letters to his brother Theo.

I realize that you were probably trying to avoid reflection in your photos, but the end results make it difficult to see the painting clearly, and perhaps more importantly, for somebody who isn't a Van Gogh expert, to identify it.

I think the painting in question might be this one from March 1888:

Pinpointing the particular letter is proving to be even more of a challenge. Here is a collection of his letters:

      https://www.webexhibits.org/vangogh/

I've tried finding it using various key words that I can decipher (such as "tableaux"), but no joy thus far.

Whew. I found the letter, although I had to search a different website of his letters (April 13, 1888 to brother Theo):

      Original French:

      *snip*

      Mon cher Theo,

      *snip*

      English translation:

      *snip*

      My dear Theo,

Thanks for your letter containing the samples of absorbent canvas.1 Will be very glad to receive — but it’s not at all urgent — 3 metres of the sort at 6 francs.

As for his consignment of colours,2 there were only 4 large tubes of white in it, while all the other tubes were half-size (of white). If he has charged for them in the same proportions, that’s very good, but pay attention to that.

4 tubes of white at 1 franc, but the rest should only be half the price. I find his Prussian blue poor, and his cinnabar. The rest is good.

Now I’ll tell you that I’m working on the 2 paintings of which I wanted to make repetitions.3 The pink peach tree is giving me the most trouble.

      *snip*

The other website does have that particular letter, but the search function was being uncooperative:

      Bitsnbobs123.a, You're welcome. :-)

I knew that I'd finally hit paydirt on the second Van Gogh letters website.

I'd been frustrated by my inability to find that letter on the first Van Gogh letters website I'd encountered. I rechecked this morning, and it does seem to be some kind of problem with or limitation of the internal search function.

Sorry for the footnote numbers in the excerpts I provided, but I find that kind of proof-reading/editing pretty tedious. };-)

BTW, It seems like this would be considered a poster, and there's probably some information as to the maker on the back, but you might need to take it out of the framing to find it.
