A very fancy gasser. Most of the ones I have seen have a gray primer paint job and no major sponsor. This one is sponsored by Mr. Pibb which I believe is a soft drink. I probably have one of their bottles around here.
Anyway this is a beautiful model even though the color is actually maroon. The 57 is probably the prettiest of the tri 5 Chevies. The 55 seems to be the one most often turned into a gasser. Gassers have that high front end so that the weight is shifted to the rear wheels.
Anyway this is one of the prettiest versions of a 57 I have seen.
Why is the hood scoop so crooked? Too much torque? Mr pibb is a simpler version similar to Dr pepper..been a long time since I had one. Don't drink much pop, unless it's some Crown & rootbeer!
I'm partial to the '55s of the tri-5s... but 57s are awesome also.
