Ted that's a great memento of the '39 World's Fair. I was a little girl when I went to the '64-65 Fair, great memories of Belgian waffles & the expos you saw on conveyor belts (the loaned sculpture Michelangelo Pieta, and It's A Small World). Last time we went to a ballgame (Mets having a poor yr now) there were a couple orig structures still standing that we drove past, a huge steel globe and a twin tower. Thanx for the post

Thank you, Jenni...your kind thoughts and insight are very much appreciated! Yes, the Unisphere still stands, and the other building that you mentioned is the restored New York State Pavilion of the 64-65 Fair, which had been in disrepair for years...thankfully, it has gotten a new life. Poor is putting The Mets season lightly! But as they used to say "Wait til next year!" The best to you always, my friend !!!!!

Lol Ted, my husband won't even watch a Mets game after all the trades. If I ask him if they won last night he'll say "who cares"! Next year indeed...maybe...

Hi, Jenni....it'll be a long off season for Mets' fans...hmm, four of the top spending teams have not made 2023's post season action!!!!

I'm smiling Ted, NY teams really taking a hit this yr, all those big salaries and no playoffs...ouch!
