This is an opal pendant in a glass vial filled with liquid the top rim is stamped Pat 10 . 13 . 31 14k Dose the pat # have anything to do with a date can anyone tell me anything about this if so thank you I found this information if you would like to take a look I now wish I had more

Hi TeresaD. Seems you found your answer however, I wanted to share with you a book I have found helpful. It is titled "How to be a Jewelry Detective" by C. Jeanenne Bell. It is inexpensive and she lists patent numbers, makers mark symbols and names that have been helpful to me in tracking down jewelry origins. Have fun!

Hello I would like to inform you a little about the piece of floating opals you have.
I have the attact but double sphere jointed piece of floating necklace.It belonged to my Husband's Grandmother, whiched was pasted on to me. Well this piece was maded around about the "Turned Of The Century". Past Hundred yrs old. Think about it, no one else has seen these kind of "Floating Opals". Very RARE!!
