This is a 1921 D walking liberty half dollar. I purchased this recently at an estate sale for 15.00. This is very rare coin and holds value no matter the condition. These coins were being sold strictly for their silver value since they are made up of 90% silver. A great score for that price and will be added to my collection.

A great find. This one is worth it's price in silver.
great coin and thank you for the info
Hi, if you want to invest, get standard new silver eagles at the silver spot price, that way you get real value. Your coin you bought is only worth $12.50, could be a fake, might be harder to sell if you need the money.. see "melt" values of coins here: http://www.coinflation.com/silver_coin_values.html , of course you could find a RARE one, than you would be a winner , so I would study up on that. Also a good idea is to get a digital scale to do a quick check on authenticity. I do a bit of homework first, then look for particular coins I have learned about, and if in doubt, ask the seller to hold it for you for a day or 2, most don't sell that fast... have fun, Groggo
Thanks for sharing I know all the test to make sure its real and its not fake. I know the value of the coin in silver is about 12.50 but the rarity of the coin puts it well over 70.00.
Groggo u must be new at this coin thing.
1921 is a greay date, worth aloy more than silver content. great buy.
