This was given to me by my dad. It belonged to his father and his grandfather previous, I know my grandfather was born in the 1890's.
Nobody else in the family wanted this handsome fellow. I figured he couldn't help how he looks. :)
Have you ever seen something like this? Any general ideas would be great. This meant a lot to Dad and I would love to hear the background of this as I have never seen another one similiar.

Nice hand carved folk art walking stick. It looks as though there are recesses in the eyes where some sort of stones were set. Most hand carved pieces are one of a kind unless the carver was known for a particular subject matter, and made many of the same item. Even then, no two would be exactly alike. I hope this helps.
Thank you so much for looking at it. In my 33 years I have seen nothing else like it.
