emersonest…

I have this wonderful, heavy black mantel clock and I don't know anything about it. It is about 10" tall and 8" wide. The black material is not stone or marble (I think). It is almost like plastic. I think the front is enamel but I am not sure about that either. If anyone knows anything about the clock: Maker? Period? Age? Style? Value? Similar Items? It would be greatly appreciated.

Aesthetic Movement. Belgian slate? French? Lovely painting.
There is another Aesthetic movement style by Hyman and Co in the Mantel Clock section. If you can post an image of the movement for the 'clock/timepiece people'.
Does it chime?
