Cut out of full sheets of plywood and drilled 1" apart spacing on the perimeters for mini lights, these "sculptures" took about 8 hours each to create and paint. The circles on the airplane had motion lights and literally looked like they were turning as did the wheels on the bike and car.
Pictured in the photos are: 8' parachuting Santa, 8' wide twin engine airplane, Santa riding a Velocipede bicycle, an 8' football punter with mechanical leg, an 8' wide representation of a Miata convertible.
Unfortunately these were only used in 2001 through 2008. Weather took its toll.
