This is a great set and a great series: suddenly, amongst a sea of beautiful gray, organic shaped barware Lütken designs a geometrical deep green series! I guess he was influenced somehow by Kaj Franck's KARTIO range -that sure was a revolutionary piece of glass!
This shade of green is called ædelgrøn, the Danish translation for "precious green". Appart from the WINSTON range only a series of PROVENCE bowls and a set of jug and glasses (simmilar to the small jug and glas in one of my GRØNLAND posts: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/40912-grnland-per-ltken-holmegaard-1960?in=user) were made in this colour.
