This is a new, rare vase from Van Briggle. I went to their Colorado Springs shop in Sept 2011 and purchased this large 15.5" vase. I just LOVE it.
The interesting thing about this particular vase is that it's from an old original mold of Artus Van Briggle. The mold was recently found in one of the company moves, and they have only produced a handful of these from the original mold. I was told they probably won't make many more, but the jury is still out on that.
This vase is pictured in the old catalog. It was either from 1903 or 1904. It's like bringing back a piece of history with them rediscovering this original mold and even though it's a new vessel, it's exactly what they looked like when Artus himself made them.
