My first skateboard was wooden, about 1958.
LoL Packrat! Thank you for the love!
If I got on one of those today, I would probably kill myself. There are just some things you do not do at my age, and skateboarding is one of them!!!!
Thanks for the love Vintage,Crabby!!!!
Wow! This board is rad. I rode a no-name deck back in the day when all the other kids in my neighborhood were riding decks like this one. I eventually bought a sweet Tony Hawk deck with Slimeball wheels. This Powell-Peralta is a true beauty!
It sure is a beauty Reis.Thank you for the love, and for looking.
I know how you feel.My first year of skating was all hand me downs. Finally my mom started buying me boards when she had seen how much I was in to it,and I guess she got tired of me asking, lol. The only reason I still have it is I had left it at my grandparents house, and my granddad put it in the shed. After time I forgot about it until I was 18,and found it pulling out the lawn mower to cut the grass.
Like packrat said, some things you don't do after about 25, two of them being skateboards and pogo sticks !............LOL
I am not real skateboard savy would the Peralta name on this be Stacy Peralta of the lords of dogtown fame? that was a really cool movie
Yes DCB.Powell and Peralta was founded by George Powell and Stacy Peralta in 1978.
@gearpunk ya thats really cool i checked it out later on after i was on here i also read that powell and peralta recently teamed up and rereleased some old versions of their boards
