I regret never asking my Grandmother or Father about this chair so I know little except that it always sat in her living room with a souveniere pillow on it. My Uncle had it after Grandma passed on and he devalued it by putting a couple of small nails and screws in it when it started to come apart. As you can see, it has the coil springs, which have to be set in the right position or the chair could throw the person too far forward or backward, and wooden wheels on the front. I don't know when Grandma got this chair, perhaps for her wedding circa 1902, in Manitoba. I'm guessing it was made by a company out of Minnesota or Michigan. Can anyone tell me about this chair's origin, original price, and an estimation on it's value [considering screws and nails] ?

I just acquired a chair VERY similar to this one today. Will include a pic on future post (I am new to this site). Have you ever received any feedback as to your inquiries? I am very interested in any info you may and appreciate the background you've provided so far.
I'm no expert, but I believe the curved seat & back date this piece, to an earliest date of the forties.
