I bought this old tube type radio at an auction. There are no markings or labels telling me what brand or model it is. In doing some searching on the net am I correct in saying it is a Bakelite? Any help you could give me would be great Thanks!!!!

Take the back off and you should find the information you need. It should be stenciled on the inside of the back cover. Yes, it should be Bakelite construction.

I took the back off and nothing. I do see what is left of a patent tag on the inside of the case but not enough left to make out any numbers. Really funny there isnt a brand name anywhere on the unit.

Yea kinda looks simular doesnt it? Ive been searching the net all day and have found some that look very close. One thing is that on the display (where you tune in the station) It reads, "kilocycles" on top and "meters" on bottom. The only radios that I have seen in my search with the same style display using those words is an Emerson. Ill keep searching and if anyone has any other ideas I would sure welcome the help. Oh and thanks for all the info so far...
