Was looking to purchase an antique crate to store wine in. Found this old KIST Bottling Company cola crate. Had know idea what I was buying but fits its purpose as a wine crate perfectly (holds 12 bottles of wine). The booth owner at the antique shop said she had it in her home for years and finally decided to part with it. Cost me $20.
I tried doing a little research on the KIST Company but did not find much. I saw someone else had a picture posted of a KIST crate with orange lettering. Read something about how it could be from early 1930s but I think it may be a little later.
Just looking to find out a little more about this old crate. Pretty cool piece for $20 and a great wine crate!
Any help is appreciated!

Looks like kist was a big outfit good stuff.
My grandfather started this company in Flint Michigan around 1934. I have not seen anything related to Flint Kist Cola in years!
