I bought this Kienzle Mantle Clock today at a yard sale and I can't seem to find any "good" identifiers inside looking at the works through the door in the back ,or anywhere on the case. Someone out there help me yo know how I may determine age. Found many Kienzle clocks searching Google , but none just like this. Thank You .

I wound it and hung the pendulum yesterday and it chimes and keeps good time so far. Still do not know I.D. info tho. :-(

It wouldn't hurt to include clear photos of the movement. There may be some information on the front of the movement also, but you would have to remove it from the case in order to see that and I wouldn't recommend that unless you are comfortable working on clocks. If I had to guess, (and I do) I would say Art Deco mid to late 30's. Pre-WWII, but that's just my opinion. I certainly welcome other opinions and/or facts. A very nice clock in any case. Love the burled wood grain pattern. Enjoy.

Thanks Bruce , I may have to try that , but I hate to move it and stop it , because since I first wound & set it , it has been in nearly "perfect" time with my Atomic clock that we have and watch all of the time. But I will just have to "bite the bullet" and hope that I can get it re set back as close as it is now. Thanks again and I also really was drawn to the color of the wood when I saw it on the yard sale table.
