Which jewelry collector can help what time period this little silver dove brooch could be?
As you see the style make me think of Art Deco but the hallmark (a little Dutch sword but I cannot make out what time periode. The the very tiny hallmark exists in different types from different time periods .The clasp (see the special safety clasp) does think to me about 1890? Who advise?
The dove is a symbol for piece? Is this enemaled dove symbol known to somebody?

The first reference to a dove carrying an olive branch is found in the Bible in the excerpt about Noah's Arc. The bird carrying a branch was a signal that the flood is over and there is dry land. Later it has become a symbol of peace (the olive branch has to do with peace, not the dove) and was used widely by many artists, including Picasso. Not exactly this image but a similar one can be found on some money printed in the Southern States 18th century (before the country was united).

I've been looking around the Dutch makers marks but I have so far had no luck. Can you tell me what the letters there are?
I see JvV but there is also another letter or two letters.

Hello vertrai050, I placed a new photo from the hallmark so it's better to see I believe. I decode a J than an 8 or & and than a V. But up to the 8 or & is another rest of a letter? Perhaps you can better make out what it is. Thanking in advance for your help.
