    i picked up this large wide-mouthed frog planter a couple months ago. it is unsigned, but made of red clay and is handmade. unfortunately, there's a large chip above one of the eyes. i still like it though.

      thanks semiswife. i thought so too. i planted a southern maidenhair fern in it and will post a photo when it matures. i wonder when it was made?

      could this be monterey jade? it looks kind of early for that, but i think that they had a couple different periods of production. not sure though...
