Little ashtray I bought from Sally Ann for a couple bucks. Unfortunately, it took a tumble and cracked a bit halfway through. I'd appreciate any insight into it's age, if anyone has a good knowledge on Delft markings.

I have roots in Holland, although I am no expert, I have come across a few pieces in my day. The fact that it says in English it is hand painted leads me to believe it was made for the tourist market, as well as "Holland" written across the top. A nice piece for souvenir but I would guess that it is not that old. It is nice and brings me a happy memory!

Thank you for your input, trunkman! And thank you for the love Belling68! Sadly I have yet to come across some 'authentic' Delft then, I've only ever seen the English written ones. I figured it was 'touristy' because of the little shoes; I doubt they find their own shoes as interesting as the rest of the world does
