I found a unique 45 rpm today in a resale shop. These are pretty rare to find. Can anyone tell me who the Thirteenth floor elevators became later. I am thrilled with this FIND and it will go on my musik room wall!!

They did not become any other band. One of the band members is buried in our little cemetary here.
That record you have came out in 1966.
I still see Rocky Erickson at the Austin Record Shows and he did form a band called Bleib Alien.
Thanks for the info packrat-place. I was thinking of the moving sidewalks!! Thanks for setting me straight:)
Thank You Manikin
The Moving Sidewalks was started by Billy Gibbons who went on to start Z Z Top.
"The Moving Sidewalks opened for the 13th Floor Elevators at the Houston, psychedelic venue, Love Street Light Circus, located on Commerce Street. The Elevators set was stopped after only a few songs by the Houston police department, who arrested the band's lead singer Roky Erickson."
That is interesting. I have never heard that story before.I have a few of the Moving sidewalk 45 rpm and Know their journey to ZZ Top but was not aware of the Love Street Light Circus incedent. Thanks for the extra info packrat-place!!
musikchoo,
As I stated above, Stacy Sutherland, lead guitarist with Thirteenth Floor Elevators is buried down the road from me. I have some great pics of his headstone. It identifies him as being lead guitarist with the Elevators and has a picture of him on the headstone If you would like to have copies of the pics for your collection, get my email address at the bottom of my "about me" section and send me an email and I will attach the pics for you.
I think you will find them interesting.
I found"your gonna miss me " by the same group while diggin some crates which is a great find for me.
