I brought this Buddha from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, (India). It is made of marble and very heavy. (8 inches high) He has green eyes and red lips. His face is very friendly and at peace with itself. He is a pleasant contrast to the usual fat Buddha :-)

so many buddhas! so little time to get to know them all! this one has a very different, outward expression vs. the more typical meditative smile. i love the paint too. ancient marble sculptures were probably all painted at one time - which is why white marble was chosen.
