Here's another one of my trunks...last one I will post today. I just wanted to get a feel for what people thought. Am I holding on to garbage trunks or good? This one is beautiful due to the green on it, the leather straps are worn and pieces are inside ...the religious cards were in there when i got the trunk about 14 years ago....Again, would appreciate any advice on my collection. We're a military family and have moved these trunks multiple times, just want to make sure they are worth hanging on to...

I don't know much about trunks, but this one kinda reminds me of the one I have. http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/57122-late-1800s-round-top-trunk
This is a nice well made trunk from about 1900's. The slat clamps and corner pieces are of better quality than your other trunk. A mark of a quality trunk are the guides that you see on the front of the trunk. It is a bit hard to tell from the picture but it looks like the corner pieces are cast iron. If they are then it may have been made in the late 1890's. As you know the religious stickers are not original to the trunk. Hope this helps a little..
