I was just looking through some family photos, this one was always a mystery. I know that the little boy is my great grandfather, the woman just to his right looks like my great great grandmother (his mother).
Is there a way to date this photo based upon the clothing/ hairstyles of the women. My great grandpa was born in 1920, how old is he here?
I just noticed the headstone in the background and the flowers that are in front of them. I'll look through the family tree for someone who died in the early '20s.

Great Photo! I think you should look between 1905 thru about 1925. I think it will probably be somewhere in that time period. Your great grandpa looks about three to five years old to me. If he was born in 1920, this photo should be around 1923-25. I think the date gap I mentioned above would be the time period you should look for a death.

My great great great grand uncle died in 1924 (my great grandpa's mother's uncle). He's the only person who died in the '20s. He had 4 daughters and a wife, except his daughters would only be in their teens when he died (these women look too old).
I'll keep looking through the family tree.
      Thanks for the help, musikchoo!
