I have a toy Singer Sewing Machine. Can anyone tell me the age, bit of history and the approximate value please. The machine is still in working order but it has a bit of rust and the bottom pedestal has a chip in the paint.

It's not possible to date these machines exactly, but the style varied over the years it was produced and you can get an idea from the presence or absence of the felt, and the number of spokes in the wheel. Search 'Singer 20' you should find the information you need. They do sometimes fetch high prices on eBay depending on condition, age and colour, and having the original box and all parts included.
