I recently found one with the same Lewis logo. The only thing I was able to do was put the logo between 1942 and 52.
Thanks Mike...
I have a harley davidson belt buckle .The front is the same the back has Tiffany Studio NEW YORK and a stamp with MONTAUK SILVER COMPANY made in ENGLAND by someone with the last name of JOHNSON .Is this vintage?
I have the same brass buckle but on the back is different. The logo in the center has an indian head in a circle and around it reads Montauk Silver Co, Made in England, Fairchild & Johnson and then where the belt goes has an eagle and reads Warrented Finest Minted Brass. Anyone have any knowledge of this buckle? How old? What it's worth?
Thanks AR8Jason. How can I tell if it was made by Lewis Buckles? Does the "Made in England" mean anything or is it just a reproduction of an original? Do you have any idea what this buckle is worth? Do you think if I took it to a Harly Davidson store they would know?
These are FANTASY buckles with no collector value.

Thanks for your response Scott. I don't know what fantasy buckles are. This buckle was my brothers who passed away. So to us, the collector, it has a lot of value. Thanks again for the info.
Fantasy-- it is the standard term used to describe an item made to look old or antique, but not modeled after any original item. The items were created to fool collectors into thinking they are original items.
Fantasy items are the scourge of the antiques market. Many new collectors are fooled by these and similar items.
