Found this very cute handbag? at a thrift store. I' d really love to learn more about it and the applied decorations on it. If anyone has clue about this bag it would be greatly appreciated. This wooden bag has 8 decorated panels in an octagon shape & measures 5 1/2" tall and 7 1/2" wide. Thanks everyone for all your comments and help.
Greatly Appreciated!!

You don't mention the sizes but could this be a picnic basket or maybe even a childs lunch pail?
I think maybe a sewing basket from the 60s? 70?
It might have been a lunch pail at one time and maybe the mirror was added later. Thanks mustangtony and amberrose.
I reckon it's a handbag. Vintage Wooden Purse by Stephanie? With decoupage figures. Cute retro going back to Victorian (19th century) fashion for "scraps'. I remember "Scrapbooks" still in the Fifties. It stimulated and exercised my collecting spirit before I found "the bottle"!
Like that...Thanks, vetraio50
Hi! ..... it was a 1920's Marchant's bottle with one of the marble stoppers.
It reads as if I have a drinking problem!
LOL!
Yea...just a little bit...HaHa!!!
Sober five years now!
Keep up the good work & MAY GOD BLESS U!!!
This looks like the purses I saw in my childhood. Purse indicated by mirror. Yes, decopage, definitely. Many women crafted these purses themselves, I think. Who is Stephanie? I'm lost here. Did she make this? I agree with AmberRose re dates.
Thanks...mikkochristmasll
