I can't find my original query so here goes again. Who knows about this clock? On the face is written, "Ala Gerbe D'Or" and "A. Baillay, Tours."
Baillay may be a merchant in Tours, France. On the works I found these markings: "166" at the 9 O'Clock position and at 6 O'Clock the number 37 and a maker's mark (very tiny), a approx 1/2" circle within which and around the top is Medalle D' Argent surrounding a name which may be, G. Meguin (again, very tiny and in script).
Also, if anyone knows about the clock, what screw-in pieces are missing from the tops of the garniture? How would this affect the value?
