The word 'Stetson' is sometimes used as a genericized term for a cowboy hat. It was The John B. Stetson Company, founded by John B. Stetson in 1865, was the maker of the Stetson cowboy hats, but ceased manufacturing in 1970. [1] Stetson hats are now being manufactured in the Garland,Texas plant by Hatco Inc. It looks like a sign that would be used out in front of a store, or somewhere against a wall, from the looks of it, it looks really old, but have no clue of how old and where it came from, so its hard to tell from. HI, I'm from St Joseph Missouri Home of the Stetson Hats before they moved. This is a early store sign about late 19th early 20th century. I have seen them locally for 200.00. Dave

Indiana Jones wore a Stetson Fedora, it would go with this sign if he wore it backwards! LoL
      Great piece! Love it! =)
