I've had this sign for several years and found it in a garage at an estate sale. I've sort of traced it to be a 1950 sign with the "19 straight years" on it and after talking to some Chevy people. It measures 33"W x 29"H x 7"D. It's really an "attention-getter" with the 4 color rotating light behind the words, "America's No1 choice". It has a quiet little pulley that rotates the colored sleeve around the 24" fluorescent light. I have it hanging in my basement and it generates alot of comments. I have no idea what a sign like this would be worth today, and I can never seem to find anything like it on ebay or craigslist. It's really in very good condition and it adds some life to other signs that I have acquired over the years.

I think the font of the center piece looks like it's too modern,also bright,not slightly faded like the rest of the sign,IMO I think it was missing and someone made it up to finish it off.
The centerpiece is definitely part of the original sign. It's made out of thin plexiglass and is painted a shiny black, but the "America's No1 choice" is clear to show the colored light rotating behind the piece. If you could see that piece in person, I think you would agree it's original. The rest of the sign was painted looking a flat paint, but the red "bow tie" and center still remain shiny.
