These 2 have this name only on back, they are both together 9.6oz and 12" long so should be silver plate. But the cleaning lines on this look like they are loosening silver and may be old. Anyone know about this name and why only this name?

hi filmnet. Call me crazy but... I saved your image (great picture by the way!) and opened it in photoshop. Then I inverted the image, and played with the brightness and contrast controls. Are there punch marks above the second S and the O? Looks like sterling and the uncrowned leopards head for London. Yeah, I double checked....looks like worn marks cant make out the date or maker though.
I inverted it now i use photoshop also, i dont see any thing here
yeah, I guess I am getting carried away again. Sorry to waste your time, good luck with the search!
