Hanging Brass Lamp

Hello everyone. One of the last from this weekends finds. Not quite like I thought it was. I am looking for some help finding an age or a maker on this light. Now that I have studied it up close and looked at the hardware, I am not so sure I would have bought it. But before I started mocking the poor guy I would like to see if anyone knows about these lights. Obviously uses a regular light bulb, brass and fiberglass? there is a maker's mark in the last picture but I can't make it out.
