Just found this trunk on a curbside. Just wondering if its worth keeping and restoring. Large size, tray inside good condition. Leather on the outside and wood underneath. Handel on sides are leather, one is broken. Looks like it was made in Austria Vienna? I thought in the early 1900 but guessing. Shipping label underneath says railway express agency. Tried to research it online but can't find any info. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I suggest that you mark the trees in that neighbourhood with your scent.

Fabulous European trunk that has all the hallmarks of a quality piece. I have one on my site of the same type, although it is a dome top. Take a look and you can see what they looked like refinished. I would think this one was German made. Definitely worth saving and for me worth refinishing -- others may differ, but drab brown canvas does not work for me.
