      I wouldn't jump to a conclusion without researching it. Check the way it was welded and how the springs are attached. It has obviously been reworked at some point. Antiques don't usually have modern screws. You would do well to see if parts have been fabricated and installed where originals failed or were broken over the years. Being an antique depends on how you define an antique. The pictures are a bit distant, can you tell us if the castors are wood or metal? They appear to be wood from what I can see. The diameter of them might also be helpful.
