I haven't found much history on this guitar. It's been in my family since I was a kid. I've had it with me for years, too.

It reminds me of a dulcimer, like Granny had on The Beverly Hillbillys. Try googleing it.
It's a zither. It was cheaply made, and their popularity these days is somewhere well below the autoharp, but try a search on whatever name is on the decal below the upper soundhole.
