Can anyone tell me a little more Bout this rocking chair. It is really low to the ground .not sure why would love any info on this piece

We just purchased one just like it, also very low to the ground. I posted the photo. Let me know if you learn of any history about it. Thank you.
I have a chair similar to this with the rolled seat and mine also has a solid back that is curved to hug a person's back. It was purchased in 1949 by my parents in Olathe, KS - I was born that year. I have other rocking chairs that belonged to my grandmother and great-grandmother. My mom told me they were made specifically for them, very low to the ground, because my grandmothers were very short.
