These came in my collection of stamps I got today. Very interesting history.
One is an autographed world record breaking endurance flight envelope.

Great history & appreciate your sharing it. I'm an old time prop twister so really enjoyed it as I've experienced similar things.

Thanks blunderbuss. Take a look at the post mark on one of the envelopes. It says "Atomic Test, Bikini Atoll"
In July 1946, the United States conducted two atomic tests at Bikini Atoll in the Pacific. The tests, codenamed Able (an atmospheric explosion) and Baker (underwater), were among the very first of the more than 1,000 tests that the U.S. would eventually conduct in Nevada and the South Pacific over the next five decades.
