I bought this at a antique store earlier and it seems to be fairly rare. Can I have some more information on how uncommon this is and an idea of its worth? Friction mechanism works. Box it was in is the wrong box though.

This one is not considered rare. It's actually on the easiest to find list of tin cars. The box has the wrong year on it.

They say it's only worth what you can get out of it, so how much did you pay for it?

@aztom I paid 50 bucks. All of the boxes have the wrong year? And its weird you say its common. I have only found two others online. One with a dented hood on Ebay buy it now'd for 85.

To be clear I mean this particular model is less common, not vintage bandai in general.

That sounds like a good price. A few years ago they booked at about $90.00. Check ebay Completed Listings, Buy it Now asking prices can be way off.

I was referring to this model, not sure about color variations. It's a nice car for sure.

I am an amatuer in vintage toy collections, can you show me where I can find this on Ebay? I can only find one. The dented one I was speaking of earlier.

First welcome to CW, hope to see more of your great finds.
I did not search it on ebay, but as general info, search the item you are looking for, then down the left side click on Completed Listings. That will give you a better idea of the value. Even that will not be a sure answer because there are a lot of miss-leading descriptions on there that sometimes gets way more money than they should.

I would recommend doing a lot of research before spending any serious money on any collectible. There are good deals out there, be patient and have fun.
