MY FIRST LETTER 4702 BISQUE PORCELAIN FIGURINE

I purchased this little boy figurine for a dollar several years ago I've always love him even though his staff has the top chipped he is holding his first letter and he is marked 4702 and has a small 6 on the bottom but no maker name , I looked him up on line and found a similar figurine with a little girl as a pair,they were both marked with numbers like mine but gave no information on who made them, possibly made in Germany.
