Maybe a Cast Iron Incense Burner Or Cast Iron Humidifier I cant really say But It Large and heavy 13"x13" I don't believe the lid go's to it but fits the destine well If anyone has a clue please fill free to comment Thank You for looking

It is a Kama and Furo, basically a kettle and brazier, used to heat water for the Japanese Tea Ceremony, a great page to read: http://blackrainbow-letslearnjapanese.blogspot.com/2011/07/japanese-tea-ceremony-sado-exquisite.html where you can see one.
