mothers hope chest from japan, 1950's

I would like to know the worth of this Japanese hope chest. My mother recieved it as a gift in japan around 1952 give or take a year. The only mark is a worn paper label in Japanese , with number. If anyone could help me identify her hope chest I would be greatful.
