In this post i have shown three pictures of one button that is the same button in each picture. I have also posted a picture of the collection of 8 buttons i have. The buttons are on average 1.5" to 2" in diameter and none of the buttons are the same.
I have come across a number of old buttons. I have not been able to find anything like these on the internet. I am hoping someone could shed some light on what i have.
Please tell all that you know:)

I don't know anything about old buttons but I hope someone helps you out. We have a 5 gal water jug almost full of old buttons that someday I would like to research. It's not high on my bucket list but would be fun.

Anyone know buttons?
The first picture made me think of a nut but the other pictures look like wood. I have a set of buttons that appear to be made of peach pits. These look hand made to me so there may not be too much info available about them. Maybe done as a hobby or to pass time?
