This cute little dish is only 7 inches across so maybe it was to serve sweets in or something? Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Elaine.

Hi Elaine, its lovely. Is the base tin? Its shape and size aren't dissimilar to this, though without the figure, described as a bon bon dish..your sweety theory sounds right:)

Hi Vintagefran, Yes, the base is tin. Thank you for looking at it for me. I dont think I will ever discover the maker but I will keep searching. Many thanks.

Hi Elaine, i recently found out the base of mine is aluminium by doing the magnet test, not tin at all.
