This is a vintage late 1950's roll package of Arno Seal-Pak Tape for packing valves, stems, flanges, and large pipes. - Made from DuPont Teflon by the Arno Adhesive Tapes Company, Inc., Michigan City, Indiana.
The package is unused and contains an entire 50 foot roll - Product #C954
The 3/32" diameter "round" tape is rolled on a metal spool and inside a clear plastic protective outer package. -- Arno Adhesive Tapes was founded around 1955 by Dr. Richard Scholl (known for Dr. Scholls Foot Powder and Dr. Scholls foam shoe inserts - he also founded a dairy in Michigan City which still currently operates). - The company held many patents for various adhesive tapes and had trademarked several brands such as 'Carpetak' and 'Tigertape'. - They manufactured all different types of adhesive tapes.
- The Arno Adhesive Tapes Company closed in the late 1980's or early 1990's.
