    I recently found this tintype and immediately picked it up. It measure 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 but I have not been able to find out anything about this uniform. His cap looks like it has a confederate logo on it. His pants do have a stripe down the leg. The top is the thing I need help on. Looks like he has some type of rope epaulette on the shoulders. Is he just a musician, or a cavalry man?? Any ideas?

      Cap badge looks like GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) but Scottvez or one of our other experts will be along soon. Frock jazzed up like a Mexican general. Maybe a musician?
