I have five elegant Fenton sherbets in the beautiful Elizabeth pattern – #1639. The pattern is very deco in design with a jade green footed base and a black glass bowl. `Elizabeth' was a specialty pattern by the Fenton Art Glass Company between 1930 and 1933. It has attracted a large number of collectors, especially in this very difficult to find color combination. The green jade foot is square with canted corners and shows two rings around the stem. The bowl is black glass. This piece is noted on page 262 in Margaret & Ken Whitmyer's "Fenton Art Glass 1907 – 1930", Second Edition, 2003. The sherbet sits 3" high with a 3" top diameter. The base is 2" square with canted corners. Each piece is in excellent to mint condition with no chips, cloudiness of the glass, cracks, or repairs. There is no makers mark. Guaranteed to be authentic Fenton. In the last photo, you will see, the beautiful rich color when light is shown thru the glass. I placed one of the sherbet cups on a large flashlight. It actually appears to be a deep dark red. They appear black when not illuminated. Very beautiful pieces, extremely rare, and almost impossible to find
