Old Oil Painting

The first thing....no one has the right to reproduce or copy these photos and all rights of the photos are reserved by the owner. With that being said here is something I am working on that I would hope some art historians on Collector's Weekly may be able to help me with. This is a painting CA 1815-1820, oil on board. It was done by William Etty a well renowned English Artist. Etty went to Italy and studied the works of Michaelangelo. He came back to England and stirred up controversy with nude art. This painting clearly depicts to me what appears to be "The Thinker". There has been many beliefs as to what Rodin's inspiration to "The Thinker" statue was, however, no where in the history does it indicate this painting. It can be shown that Rodin visited London England in 1881 and shortly thereafter he showed the Statue in 1888. It would appear to me that he saw this painting and it is what lead his statue. I can prove the painting was in London in 1867 but it would take more research to show the painting was there in 1881 and that Rodin may have seen it. Does anyone know how to take a find like this and change art history?
